Former Congressman Patrick Murphy explains how the GOP could disenfranchise voters, Ohio veterans

In this "Viewpoint" Web exclusive, former Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-Pa.), an Iraq War veteran, talks to Eliot Spitzer about the GOP's efforts to end an early voting program in Ohio, which could impact the more than 900,000 veterans who live in the state. President Obama has tried to block the Ohio law, which is just one of many GOP initiatives around the country that would make it harder for people to vote.

"The intent behind these bills is to disenfranchise voters, to not allow them the vote. And it's wrong - and it's un-American," Murphy says. "And let me tell you, you know why they're doing it? Because their ideas suck. That's why they're doing it."
