Motor City Madman:  Veteran and troop suicides happen because “they are in absolute frustration that… their commander in chief violates the Constitution”

Washington, DC – Over 12,000 Americans, including thousands of veterans and military family members have signed a petition asking one simple thing of the NRA – do they or do they not agree with their Board Member, Ted Nugent’s comments that “more and more warrior heroes of the military are killing themselves because they are in absolute frustration and heartbreak that their boss, their commander in chief, violates the Constitution that he has made an oath to.”

The petition is sponsored by VoteVets.org and can be found here:

Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of VoteVets.org said, “The truth is that military and veteran suicides as tragic as they are complex. The invisible wounds of war – the wounds to the mind and psyche – are often not treated adequately until it is too late. For Ted Nugent to pin his own twisted view of President Obama to this heartbreaking issue doesn’t just set us back in terms of better caring for our heroes, but it is a deep insult to those who are struggling with very serious issues.”

“We would hope the NRA would agree with us, and say so, but we simply do not know.  They, so far, haven’t said a peep regarding the comments of their board member, Ted Nugent. That’s incredibly disheartening,” he added.
