Veterans Endorse Fellow Vet Steve Hobbs For Congress

 ·, Press Release

Lake Stevens, Wash.  - PAC is announcing its endorsement of Steve Hobbs for Washington State's 1st Congressional District today, and is emailing its over 100,000 supporters to donate to Hobbs' campaign.

"Steve's experience in the community, in public service, and in the military give him the trifecta of experience that will make him an excellent representative for the people of the district," said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran, and Chairman of  "To accomplish all he has, in a relatively short period of time, just shows how much dedication and energy he brings to service.  But, he's no neophyte.  As a State Senator, he knows the issues in the community, and how to bring the concerns of the people to the halls of power."

Hobbs was elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 to the Washington State Senate in a district - similar to the new 1st Congressional District - that is politically balanced between Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.

In addition to representing the people of the 44th district, he is a member of the Washington Army National Guard and proudly served in Iraq and Kosovo.  Hobbs joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 1987 in order to serve his country and to follow the footsteps of a family tradition of military service. Because he was seventeen, he had to get his parents' permission to join. After graduating from high school, Private Steve Hobbs shipped off to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, for basic training and later to Fort Huachuca, Arizona for his military occupation as an intelligence analyst. His military service spans many assignments and locations through-out Steve's over twenty years of service.
