VoteVets back on the air for Moulton

Marblehead, MA – The nation’s largest progressive group of veterans is making a major push to back one of its own, running $600,000 in advertising on television in Massachusetts, backing Seth Moulton for Congress.    VoteVets.org is putting $600,000 behind the cable and broadcast ad, for more than a week.  This puts VoteVets spending in support of Moulton well over $1 million.

You can view the ad here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oe3LSVRzdDc .  A full script is below.

The ad launching today puts the records of Seth Moulton, and his opponent, side by side.

A narrator, over pictures of the candidates says, “Who will bring fresh leadership to Congress? A career politician who votes against funds for veterans….. Or a courageous veteran who served 4 tours in Iraq?  Who will stand up for us? A politician who supported allowing insurance companies to charge women more than men…. Or a new leader who will fight for pay equity for women?  And who will try to fix a broken Congress? Richard Tisei who praised the Tea Party as a godsend…. Or Seth Moulton, an inspiring leader praised for his service?”

The ad ends by saying, “The clear choice” over a picture of Seth Moulton.

Indeed, Moulton’s opponent, Richard Tisei, voted against a budget in the State Legislature, that increased funding for veterans programs, previously said he would repeal Obamacare, which would result in allowing insurance companies to charge women more, and did say that the Tea Party was a “godsend.”

Founded in 2006,  and backed by over 400,000 supporters, the mission of VoteVets.org is to use public issue campaigns and direct outreach to lawmakers to ensure that troops abroad have what they need to complete their missions, and receive the care they deserve when they get home.  VoteVets.org also recognizes veterans as a vital part of the fabric of our country and will work to protect veterans' interests in their day-to-day lives.   VoteVets.org is committed to the destruction of terror networks around the world - with force when necessary - to protect America.  While non-partisan, the group is the largest progressive organization of veterans in America.
