VoteVets Endorses Pam Keith for Congress

JUPITER, FL - VoteVets is today endorsing Pam Keith in her campaign for Congress.

“Pam is someone who always dreamed big, but did so with an eye on serving others,” said Jerry Green, US Army veteran and Florida Veterans Coordinator for VoteVets. “Pam faced barriers, being a black student in a school that was integrating, in the 1970s, and overcame that to go on to college and law school, and get an offer to be a high-powered attorney. She could have taken the job, and the money, and lived a wealthy lifestyle. But she joined the Navy, and served America.  That’s the kind of mindset we need in Washington, right now. Service over self. Add to that, her experience in the Middle East, which can help Congress formulate a policy to keep America safe, and anyone can see why she’s going to make an excellent Congresswoman.”

Pam Keith commissioned into the Navy in 1995, in the JAG Corps. She was assigned to NLSO Norfolk, VA, and in 1997 volunteered to serve as Regional Defense Counsel and Officer in Charge of NLSO Detachment at ASU Bahrain, working with military units that were overseeing Saddam Hussein’s compliance with sanctions and weapons inspections.  Upon her return home, she served as the first-ever JAG assigned to the Computer Network Security Task Force. She is the daughter of former Ambassador, Kenton Keith, who was one of the first black naval officers to serve on the USS Midway.
