VoteVets PAC Endorses Mark Osmack for Congress

ST. LOUIS, MO - VoteVets is today endorsing Mark Osmack in his campaign for Congress.

“Mark brings a rare combination to this race – a history of service in uniform, with experience on Capitol Hill that will allow him to immediately deliver results for the people of the district,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War veteran and Chair of VoteVets. “Mark knows what’s wrong in Washington, knows how to fix it, and has the dedication to Missouri, and America, to get results. He will make a fantastic Congressman, and we’re proud to endorse him.”

A 4th generation St. Louisan, Mark grew up one of four kids. He got his first job at fourteen continued working continuously throughout high school and college. His father is a nurse practitioner who served in the Army Reserve and his mother is a chaplain who ministers throughout the St. Louis region. They instilled in their kids a commitment to service; both of Mark’s brothers joined the U.S. Marine Corps, and his sister is a nurse in St. Louis. Mark’s family history of duty and service led him to join the U.S. Army after earning his degree at Mizzou.

As an artillery officer and platoon leader, Mark served two combat tours in Afghanistan where he led countless patrols throughout small cities, towns, and rugged countryside. Each mission led to drink bottomless cups of chai with Afghan villagers, leaders, and security forces with the conversation always about improving Afghanistan's immediate and long-term future.

Utilizing the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Mark earned a Masters of Public Administration from the George Washington University while working on national defense and veterans affairs issues in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate in Washington, DC.
