VoteVets PAC Endorses Max Rose for Congress

STATEN ISLAND, NY - The largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets PAC, is today endorsing Max Rose in his race for Congress.


“Max is really one of the most energetic and exciting candidates in the country, right now,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War veteran and Chairman of VoteVets PAC. “That kind of enthusiasm is what Max has brought to everything in his life, and his service to this country.  Staten Island and South Brooklyn couldn’t find a more tireless fighter than Max. For those who want to shake things up in DC, Max is your guy. He’s going to make a tremendous Congressman.”


According to his bio, Max Rose is the first post-9/11 combat veteran to run for office in New York City history. He enlisted in the United States Army after earning a master’s degree from the London School of Economics in 2010. He successfully completed officer candidate school, infantry basic office leadership course, and ranger school. He deployed to Afghanistan for nine months from December of 2012 – September of 2013 as an infantry platoon leader with the 1st BDE, 1st Armored Division. Max received the Purple Heart and was awarded a Bronze Star and a Combat Infantryman’s Badge during his deployment to Afghanistan.
