VoteVets PAC Endorses Sestak for Senate

HARRISBURG, PA -  The largest progressive veterans organization in America, VoteVets.org PAC, on behalf of its over 400,000 supporters, is strongly endorsing retired Navy Admiral Joe Sestak, for Senate, today.

“There are many problems in Washington, these days,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran, and Chairman of VoteVets.org PAC.  “But, at the core of it, there’s a deficit of trust.  Americans don’t trust their elected officials, and elected officials don’t really trust each other.  I have known Joe Sestak for a long time.  There’s not a person I would trust more than him.   Sailors put their trust in him, and he lived up to their trust.  Parents put their trust in him when their kids enlisted in the Navy, and he lived up to their trust.  He’s always lived up to the trust of Pennsylvanians.  We need Joe Sestak in Washington, now more than ever.”

“Joe’s career has been all about serving the people, and his country,” Soltz added.  “He chose to give to America. That says a lot about his priorities, and what’s most important to him.  That spirit of service will serve the Commonwealth well, with Joe Sestak in the Senate.”

VoteVets.org PAC endorsed Sestak in his previous campaigns for House and Senate, and helped raise thousands in small donations, for his campaigns.  The group also contributed the maximum allowable amount, to his campaigns, and plans to, again.

Founded in 2006, the mission of VoteVets.org Political Action Committee is to elect Veterans to public office, with a focus on Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, and hold public officials accountable for their words and actions that impact America’s 21st century troops and veterans. Though VoteVets.org PAC is non-partisan, candidates it backs must support VoteVets.org’s core mission and beliefs.  Since its inception, in 2006, VoteVets PAC has raised and donated about $500,000 for its endorsed candidates.
