VoteVets Rejects Trump Reboot on Veterans

Group says Trump's plagiarism, scamming veterans, support for privatizing veterans care, and hostility to disabled veterans and POWs cannot be undone

WASHINGTON - The largest progressive group of veterans in America, with over 400,000 supporters, is rejecting Donald Trump's latest attempt to reboot his image, this time using veterans' issues.

"Once again, Donald Trump is looking for a do-over - another day, another reboot.  After he got caught stiffing veterans groups of millions of dollars, after he got caught plagiarizing most of his so-called veterans plan, and after denigrating the service of POWs, Trump wants another chance.  Well, he can't have it," said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of VoteVets.org.

"Through everything, two things have been abundantly clear about Trump: First, that he doesn't have the temperament or self-control needed to put America's troops in his care, second, that his plan for veterans boils down to privatizing the system and tossing veterans out into the cold," Soltz said.

"None of this should be shocking, given that Trump tried to get disabled veterans, working as vendors, kicked out from in front of Trump Tower," Soltz concluded.
