VoteVets Statement on Nomination of Rex Tillerson, in Light of Russian Hacking News

WASHINGTON - The largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets, released the following statement upon news that Rex Tillerson has been officially named the nominee for Secretary of State under Donald Trump.

Major General (Ret.) Paul D. Eaton, Senior Adviser to VoteVets, released the following statement:

"“They say three is a pattern.  The President-elect, his National Security Adviser, and now his Secretary of State all have exhibited warm feelings toward the repressive Putin regime, and advancing its goals.  In conjunction with the CIA’s findings regarding Russian hacking of the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign, it is now completely fair to ask this question: Is President-elect Trump repaying his benefactor, Vladimir Putin?

With mere weeks to go before Trump takes the oath of office, it is imperative that this question be answered fully and completely, by declassifying and releasing information, and forming a special Congressional committee to investigate and report on the matter.”
