VoteVets Launches $550k TV Ad for Baldwin

Powerful 60-second spot features two-tour Iraq veteran, talking about his issue with prescription medicine

MILWAUKEE, WI – The veterans group, VoteVets, is today announcing an ad buy from 9/6-9/18 in Wisconsin, praising Tammy Baldwin’s work on opioids, at a total cost of $550,000.

The 60-second version of the ad can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhIvn3yyWCg&t

A 30-second version of the ad will also be running.

In the ad, two-tour Afghanistan veteran Leroy Miller talks about his service in the military, following in the footsteps of his family, and the struggles he had with prescription medicine, when he returned home.

“I was afraid to ask for help, because I didn’t know that I could,” he says in the ad.

“So knowing Tammy Baldwin is focused on trying to help these veterans, maybe there won’t be that veteran that I was. Maybe there won’t ever be a veteran that ever has to struggle with that fear, again. I’m not interested in the left side or the right side. With Tammy, I believe, it’s personal,” he concludes.
