VoteVets on Pete Buttigieg’s Performance in Iowa
The following is the statement of Will Goodwin, Army Veteran and Director of Government Relations for VoteVets, on Pete Buttigieg’s showing in Iowa’s caucus. VoteVets endorsed Buttigieg, last month:
“Last night, Pete showed he belongs in the top tier of candidates, and that people want a new generation of leadership. Voters also recognize that a veteran like Pete gives Democrats a unique opportunity to win back the purple areas of the country that Donald Trump won in 2016. This is a long race, and we’re in it until the very end, with Pete. And we’re confident that, in the end, he’ll be the nominee.”
