VoteVets PAC Endorses Learned for Congress

TAMPA, FL – The largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets PAC, is today endorsing Andrew Learned for Congress, in Florida’s 15thCongressional District.

“Tampa has a chance to send a new generation of leadership, and true patriotic public servant, to the United States Congress, to stand up for Tampa’s working families,” said Army Veteran Jerry Green, Florida Outreach Director for VoteVets, from Tampa. “Right now, more than anything, we need someone in Congress who always thinks of others, before him or herself, and someone who is ready to put it all on the line, for us.  That’s Andrew Learned.  We’re proud to endorse him.”

According to his bio, Andrew Learned has served in the U.S. Navy for 9 years and on 3 Middle East deployments. His call to service began on 9/11. He attended the University of Tampa on an NROTC scholarship. Later, he led boarding team missions off the Somali coast to counter piracy and deployed in support operations in response to the attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, Libya. In 2016, Andrew served for the unit that handles crisis response missions in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.  In 2017, Andrew was reassigned to Special Operations Command Central based at MacDill, AFB in Tampa, FL bringing him back home.
