VoteVets PAC Endorses Tammy Duckworth for Senate in Illinois

Springfield, IL – VoteVets PAC, a leading veterans organization with over 400,000 supporters, is endorsing Tammy Duckworth’s campaign to be the next Senator from Illinois.

In her previous campaigns for the US House of Representatives, VoteVets PAC raised over $100,000 for her campaigns, while also making the maximum allowable direct donations.

VoteVets PAC is announcing it is immediately donating the maximum contribution to her campaign, and launching an aggressive online fundraising campaign for her, starting with an email to all 400,000+ supporters of VoteVets PAC.

“Tammy Duckworth is an American hero, but she never lets anyone call her that.  She prefers to be known simply as being a servant for the people of Illinois,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of  “Tammy came home, and right after healing from her amputations, she started work at the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs to help the veterans of the state.  She hasn’t taken a break since.  Now, just after giving birth, she’s ready to enter a grueling campaign, just so she can continue serving the people of Illinois.”

“There should be no doubt, at all, that Tammy Duckworth’s life is singularly about fighting for America, and fighting for Illinois.  She won’t just make a great Senator – she will be a legendary Senator, who we talk about, for generations,” Soltz added.

Founded in 2006, the mission of Political Action Committee is to elect Veterans to public office, with a focus on Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, and hold public officials accountable for their words and actions that impact America’s 21st century troops and veterans. Though PAC is non-partisan, candidates it backs must support’s core mission and beliefs.  Since its inception, in 2006, VoteVets PAC has raised and donated nearly $1 million for its endorsed candidates.
